Around the world now, there are
millions of web hosting providers includes international providers and local
ones. However, today, I would like to talk about famous companies because they
are so professional and popular than the left.
According to statistic of Google,
here are 5 companies which are found the most by users on search engine
monthly: Godaddy (2,240,000/month), 1and1 (368,000/month), hostgator
(201,000/month), bluehost (165,000/month) and ipage (165,000/month).
Now, let’s get started with me to
figure out which the best web hosting provider is.
According to many nice posts
about how to choose the best web hosting they said we needed to answer five
questions as follows: (You can check this by typing how to choose the best web
hosting on Google)
1. Reliability/
uptime
2. Customer
service
3. Pricing
4. Company
Stability
5. Bandwidth/Space
Now, here is each question added
on each provider:
1. Reliability/ uptime

Those are some information about
uptime on each provider’s official website. To know more and see objectively,
let’s see all reviews from their customers about uptime.
GoDaddy:
We couldn’t find any uptime
problems from customers in both good and bad reviews of Godaddy. Some people
always have complements about their products. In all bad reviews, no one say
about uptime. Here are some reviews about it:
From Gamias Gamiontas /Oct 8,
2014:
Excellent I have 10 sites on one hosting and works fine without any
problem. I hope to continue like that for ever.
From Deepak patel/ Oct 9, 2014:
I am a user of Godaddy since 3 Years. In Between I use some another
host also. But the features, Support and value I got there. I never got from
any other host. One of my site was hosted woth another host and I always
receive notification about "you site is using more resources so that we
are taking down you site"
But I have hosted 5 Website with GODADDY but never get any issue. .
Excellent service.
1and1:
1&1 makes no claims or
promises regarding uptime for web hosting customers, and neither is there an
SLA or guarantee to reassure prospective clients. However, all data is stored
simultaneously in two locations. Should one server fail, another will take
over. This is a good provision, but the lack of uptime guarantee might put off
some people.
From amir ali/ Sep 12, 2014
I have used many webhosting companies, 1&1 is one of my favourite
website. Its support is very good always got my answers in no time.its uptime is
also very good.In my view 1&1 rocks.
Some customers complain about
1and1 support but no one said about uptime.
Hostgator:
HostGator rent their data centre
space from The Planet, using four of their facilities in Texas. Power back-ups,
fire detection and constant monitoring from on-site staff keep their 12,000
servers safe and secure. They use 10 different fibre providers, including
hardware from Time Warner and AT&T. They currently offer a 99.9% uptime
guarantee (although they don’t publish any stats) and offer an RSS feed for
service status updates.
Bluehost:
The company doesn’t make any
headline claims about server uptime on their site: the most we could find was
an offer of a toll-free refund policy should you leave as a result of a server
outage. BlueHost do claim to monitor their servers round the clock, though, and
their longevity in the hosting market - and dedication to controlling every
minute detail of their hosting packages - does inspire confidence, despite the
lack of any numbers.
iPage:
Websites created by iPage
customers are hosted in two data centres in Boston, MA. Across the two
facilities, they have 800 Dell servers. Each data centre offers round-the-clock
security, N+1 AC and DC power and both have identical infrastructure. Customer
data is mirrored across clustered servers to protect against downtime, and they
also run UPS backup and have diesel generators too.
There are no details about
uptime, and they don’t claim to have an uptime guarantee. Their servers are
backed up daily using NetApp Snapshot.
Totally, all of these webs
hosting provider always give out good uptime although some of them don’t show
this on their website.
2.
Customer
Support
They have good support because
many people feel so comfortable with their support team like these:
The help they gave me when I was first starting to build my wordpress
blog was fantastic, I was pleasantly surprised to reach someone late at night
who not only was easy to understand, but knew how to fix the problems. Thank
You Godaddy. (larry brewer)
1and1:
Almost customers love to go with
1and1 but some people want to change:
1and1 was fine until I needed help. Then, the support was terrible. I
mean so so bad it was like watching my life in a bad movie in slow motion. It
took almost one month to get any kind of help, and even then I got helped only
by going through Go Daddy. I made the switch permanently. DO NOT USE 1&1.
Warned (Susan Gosnell)
Hostgator:
Like other providers, Hostgator
also have bad and good reviews. Good reviews always say the best for them but
there is a review commenting about their support team like this:
They cannot take care of new customers quickly and my guess there
current customers either. The live chat sessions wait times are at least 30
minutes. While you are in the chat there is a long wait between responses of
the representative.( John Secreti)
Bluehost:
I was so blow my mind with lots
of good reviews for their support. It’s very good for a web hosting provider.
Congratulation Bluehost:
My business knew no bounds since the day i got introduce to BlueHost,
with 100% service uptime Bluehost stands out from the rest with great support
and affordable services (Michael Richmond)
iPage:
Many people say support from
iPage is the worst. Here are some examples:
Ipage is plagued with performance problems. I raised several tickets
and their support sucks. Stay away... You've been warned (Ioannis Ioannou/Sep
17, 2014)
Worst support I have ever come across in my 16 years of
development...customer service a close 2nd. iPage SUCKS.( Paul Flebotte/
Sep 18, 2014)
Totally, Godaddy and Bluehost are
so good with customer support. We hope that if you love a friendly providers
one of them is a good choice for you.

Look at the table you can see
that Hostgator has got the highest price. And we think you get what you pay
for. Choosing any one depends on your budget and other questions/ conditions in
this article.
All of these providers I said
here have got a long life in the past and now they are developing and spreading
continuously.

These number is for Started plans
of each providers, if you see not unlimited one, you find higher plan of that
provider.
In conclusion, these providers
are much better than other around the world. They have had a good reputation
for a long time so if you want to have a good for you let’s try to take one suitable
for your budget.
In this article, we didn’t
recommend other companies because we choose the most popular one on Google.
This way maybe not right exactly but it also reflects that these are companies
to be cared by lots of people now. However, in our opinion, to build their
brands like that, they must be got a real good service. Hope you enjoy this
post.
Godaddy now as you know have 52
million customers and nice support so don’t hesitate if you choose them regardless
of their price is also quite low, only $1.
